Temptation Tours is an Award-Winning Sightseeing Land Tour company that specializes in offering 8 different Sightseeing Tours and Private Charters to Maui’s Top Natural Locales – The Road to Hana & Majestic Mt. Haleakala! All tours are limited to just 6 to 8 Guests, traveling in the air-conditioned comfort of custom-built, Luxury Limo-Vans with a spacious leather captains chair for each Guest.
TEMPTATION TOURS CERTIFICATION HIGHLIGHTS
Overall, tour guide provided in-depth and accurate information, particularly with regards to the natural resources. Stopping the van at different points along the road and pointing out different native plants (e.g. kukui, hala, etc.) was very hands on and a great addition to the interpretation. Cultural information and Hawaiian words were also incorporated.
New guides go through an in-depth 4-6 week training program. Guides attend outside trainings during the year and company adjust guide schedules to attend volunteer work days at Haleakala National Park.
Hawaiian culture is emphasized on website and incorporated into company’s values.
Good job of supporting local companies through tours (e.g. Aunty Nita’s, Coconut Glenn’s Ice Cream, Aunty Sandy’s, etc.). This not only gives guests a true “taste” of Hawaii, but also generates important business for local companies. In addition, company also prints brochures locally (Oahu – though Maui would be even better!).
Great job of incorporating reduce, re-use, recycle and other sustainability measures throughout tour (e.g. no single-use cutlery or paper plates for lunch, etc.). Tour guide also wove Hawaiian sustainability principles throughout tour. Very impressed with written purchasing policies, energy efficiency policy,
Website and FAQ page provide detailed information about tours and does a great job of setting expectations/preparing guests for the tour. Blog is also in-depth and a great addition to the website! The “About Maui” is really good, too. Consider expanding this page with more detailed info specific to Hana and Haleakala (since those are your two main destinations).
